It's Been Too Long...
Written @ 7:44 PM
Ah! Where have I been?

Well, long story short, ever since I moved into the other part of my current house, I've been pretty stressed and too busy to post anything. I've also, sadly, been too busy to religiously follow my hair regimen. The facilities in this place took some time to fix. Because of this, I used the past three weeks to adjust to my surroundings, do more research on hair, get rid of some products, and get some new products that I think would work better on my hair.

Today was my wash day. My hair SERIOUSLY needed it. My roots were getting hard to manage since I wasn't deep conditioning like I should and because of the Real Queens Regimen I've been following.

A couple of words on that:
I LOVE http://realqueens.com. I learned so much from this site and I have finally seen a change in the growth rate in my hair. I've been using Extra Virgin Olive Oil with it and after about a month of following the regimen, I've had a good 1.5 inches of new growth. I'm soooo happy about this! My previous hair regimen was helping me to retain length and to make my hair softer and stronger, but I wasn't seeing a big change in my new growth every 8-10 weeks (<< that's how long I stretch my relaxer. With the move, I am now 13 weeks post.).

De-tangling is the part that had me concerned, but relived that I finally got to wash my hair. I had a lot of breakage that was coming out, but after the protein treatment and deep condition, it got better.

*Note* I clarified today because it's been a while since I did and I needed to get rid of the buildup of products on my hair.

What I did on today's Wash Day:
Shampoo with ORS Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo
Africa's Best Hair Mayonnaise (Plastic Cap for 40+ mins)
Africa's Best Olive Oil Deep Conditioner (Plastic Cap for 60+ mins)

Air Dry (in progress)

*Note*
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Split End Mender (It helps to prevent split ends. I doubt it actually mends them.)

What I'm going to do next is apply:
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Split End Mender
Doo Gro Mega Thick Leave-In Gro Strengthener

Since I'm planning on doing Bantu Knots, I'm applying a small amount of Motions Foaming Wrap Lotion so that the Bantu Knot-out holds throughout the day.

I'm still deciding on whether or not I'll apply some EVOO to my hair now, or if I'll use it in the morning while I'm taking down the Bantu Knots.

I think that's it for this post.... Right? I don't know. XD

Next post will be about the products I'm using. I don't know if anyone actually reads this, but even if they don't it helps me to keep track of everything.
